The Unfiltered Thoughts of a First-Time Blogger
Yay, after a year and a half, I wrote my first line. Man, it’s not that hard when you’re just sitting by yourself at your desk and writing whatever comes into your mind. But it is so hard when you try to figure out what you should write about…
Ever sit down to write and realize you have too many things to say — but not one clear thing to write about?
Ah, here you go—the next distraction: my beloved mom asking me about her phone charger. But no, that’s not going to stop me from writing. I love writing, I always did, but what I don’t love much is choosing, connecting that, and coming back to the point where I left.
What should I write about? Should I talk about the movie I just watched with my sister? Or should I talk about financial stuff like investing your money through stocks and how it will be compounded? Or should I talk about the cats? If cats, which one? The one that died in the accident and broke my heart? Or the one that went somewhere yesterday and did not return yet? Or the little one or its brother or about its mom?
That is one too many choices to pick. Pick or don’t — does it matter if I don’t hit publish? Why the hell am I writing at all? Even if I share the things I learnt, who’s gonna read? My parents? No, they know no English. My sister? Probably. Wait a minute—what about that teacher in third grade who asked me to become a story writer after hearing my “lame” story? 🙂
My Content Ideas
Well, let us put everything aside. If you came this long then you are the chosen one—you tell me what to write or talk about…
- Finance & Money Management (starting early will compound your money, bla bla bla)
- Personal Stories (like how I got my dad’s favourite job)
- Books I read (I will share a few things because you cannot go through every single one, right?)
- Movies I watched
- Sports (Mostly badminton, chess, carrom, table tennis, snooker)
- Personal Development & Self-Improvement
- Lifestyle & Hobbies

(P.S: I paused writing for a few days and discussed it with my friends. One told me no one’s gonna read a “BLOG”—nowadays everyone is addicted to social media (yeah, she used to spend like 3 hours on Instagram before uninstalling it). The other guy told me to continue if I like to do it as a hobby. So let’s gooooo…)
